Eugene Butcher (UK)

Eugene Butcher moved to London from his native New Zealand after playing in bands and promoting concerts in 1984. He played in various bands in London before working for various magazines and launching the Big Cheese youth cuture and music magazine in 1996. He ran the Deck Cheese record label from 1996 until 2006 releasing more than 40 albums and selling more than 70,000 cds and records. He launched Vive Le Rock, the worlds only punk and rock n’ roll magazine in 2010 and held the first all star Vive Le Rock Awards show in London 2017. He also publishes the indie/alternative music magazine’s Louder Than War and Down For Life. Eugene currently manages Finnish glam punk/Hanoi Rocks legend Michael Monroe who has just released his new album and emabarked on a European tour. Eugene currently sings in the band Desperate Measures.
