The Feud

Since their first jam together in a small, dirty rehearsal space somewhere in the suburbs of Manchester, the three talented musicians soon found a unique style, “…mixing driving riffs with electronic samples and pulsing beats that result in organic dance rock” (Kerrang! magazine), leaning on their influences of Soulwax, Crowded House, and Does It Offend You, Yeah?. Having originally grown up amongst the picturesque landscape of the Lake District, The Feud are now based in Lancaster, UK.

Their debut single In Between The Lines has had much critical acclaim and praise, attracting attention from all over the globe. The summer of 2010 saw The Feud set sail on their first self-funded, self-run tour, playing across the UK into Europe to perform at festivals, playing alongside acts such as The Prodigy, Editors, The Subways & Muse. The Feud returned to mainland Europe soon after for a handful of exclusive, sold out shows.

The Feud have since embarked on a nationwide support tour in the UK to sell-out crowds. As a result, the band are quickly gaining a reputation for having a raucous, energetic live show. Jamie Walker, guitarist and vocalist, explains, “when we play a show, we want the audience to leave feeling like they’ve been to a club and a rock gig rolled into one”. Stephen, bassist, synth and backing vocalist, adds, “the goal with our music is to make you mosh your head and wiggle your ass at the same time, delivering a show filled with energy”.

BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens handpicked The Feud’s second single It Ain’t Right as his record of the week, which lead to airplay on daytime shows on BBC Radio 1. Coinciding with their airplay on BBC R1, The Feud released their second official music video, directed and filmed by Jesse Davey (Papa Roach, Bush, Gavin Rossdale). It Ain’t Right is taken off their self-recorded & produced EP, Electric Fix.

Throughout 2013, The Feud spent time in LA working with Timmy ‘the terror’ Anderson (Mr. Little Jeans, Dizzee Rascal), finalising their debut album which is planned to be released this year, whilst performing various shows in LA, New York and SXSW in Austin. Their next single, Is This Love?, is to be released before a summer full of festivals. They embark on a European support tour with Sick Puppies in April this year.
