O’Sullivan (HU)

O’SULLIVAN is an alternate indie/pop project mined from the brain of Ian O’Sullivan. After completing a medical degree in pursuit of the ‘ideal’ life, Irishman Ian (O’SULLIVAN) turned his back on a doctors’ life to become a recording musician in Budapest, Hungary. The project has turned the heads of critics in Hungary, Germany, Poland and Ireland. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Angus & Julia Stone, James Vincent McMorrow and even RyX, songs travel from upbeat bops and melancholy to old-meets-new as acoustic soul and electronic sounds wash together with the aim of finding musical church.

O’SULLIVAN is a fresh project started in late 2020, with the release of his first single ‘Little Bird’ which entered the Top Viral 50 charts on Spotify in Hungary, and has since received over 160,000 Spotify streams. Indie Shuffle called the song “a little slice of indie-pop goodness”. July saw the release of his second single & video premiered in Hot Press, Ireland’s biggest music magazine and saw notice  in Poland (Rytmyl, Soundrive.pl) and Germany (Bedroom disco, Tonspion.de). His songs have gained extensive radio play on EgoFM (Munich), Radar FM (Portugal), (TANANANA) Romania in addition to plays in Ireland, Hungary& more.
