Leška Rudolf

JUDr. et Mgr. Rudolf Leška, Ph.D., LL.M. studied theatre studies and law at universities in Prague (Faculty of Arts of the Charles University, Faculty of Law of the Charles University), in Munich (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität) and in San Francisco (University of San Francisco), he is a practicing attorney who specializes in copyright law as an associate of the attorney at law firm ŠTAIDL LEŠKA ADVOKÁTI, he teaches copyright law at the department of Theatre Studies of the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University, department of Production of the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and at the Faculty of Legal and Administrative Studies of the University of Finance and Administration. He’s an Associate Research Fellow for the arts & creative industries research at the department of Theatre and Film Studies of the Faculty of Arts of the Palacký University in Olomouc.

He focuses his academic research in publications at prestigious publishing houses (Les Éditions Thema, Cambridge University Press, Kluwer Law International, Oxford University Press, Springer) on interdisciplinary research of law, cultural politics (audiovisual arts, theatre, music) and cultural industries. He is the main and other researcher in two research projects of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic focusing on cultural politics. He presides over the Czech national group of the International Literary and Artistic Association (ALAI).
